Tama's Patricio Gartxot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milton Friedman in the 33rd minute of play. José Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Benigno Frans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Pombal having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Jesus Iruinea notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Fabiofs's Jonas Pombal. Jonas Pombal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Tama getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Gervasio Lucila hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elano de Salles in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patricio Gartxot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tama were furious when Rigoberto Eleazar was red carded, 46 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingo Silvino in the 54th minute of play forced Fabiofs's goalkeeper Jonas Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Jesus Iruinea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patricio Gartxot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edílson de Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the match, Tama's goal looked a bit too open when Milton Friedman came free, but Patricio Gartxot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Fabiofs getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Tomás de Castro hit a great ball. Benigno Frans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Jonas Pombal made a huge save. With an all-out effort, Tama's Jonas Pombal threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Domingo Silvino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Niceto Rio was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 76th minute. Tama's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niceto Rio in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonas Pombal saved Fabiofs from getting behind. 81 minutes into the match, Fabiofs's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Senen came free, but Jonas Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Paulo Arce's late challenge caught a Tama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Paulo Arce helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd match minute, Fabiofs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Paulo Arce to maneuver through the defense. If Niceto Rio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Tama getting a freekick after 90 minutes play.
