The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernardo Corrêa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 39 minutes of play, VN Ultra Spartak's Vitomir Chervenyakov made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bob Oconnell might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Peycho Bratovanov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bob Oconnell ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 81st minute, Vitomir Chervenyakov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernardo Corrêa was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The supporters of Vascogoianiense FC booed when VN Ultra Spartak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position.
