Zeki Ünüvar helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bornova getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Zeki Ünüvar hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gökçen Gencer in the 15th minute of play forced Bornova's goalkeeper Kerim Sav to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeki Ünüvar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Ecevit Remiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mustafa Haydar Onursan hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Oğuzer İncirli kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mustafa Haydar Onursan in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kerim Sav prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 27 minutes, Cafer Sonalp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bornova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cafer Sonalp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 31 minutes into the game, Kudret Vefakar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. İncebay SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bornova the free kick. Kudret Vefakar hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. When Zeki Ünüvar came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Bornova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zeki Ünüvar couldn't finish the play. In the 40th match minute, İncebay SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kudret Vefakar to maneuver through the defense. It was beautiful to see Bornova's Mustafa Ekrem Ünzil in action when he in the 42nd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind İncebay SK's goalkeeper Ecevit Remiz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

After some careless play in the Bornova defense, Gökçen Gencer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kerim Sav. The Bornova fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kerim Sav should have stopped the shot. Bornova's Vedat Arabacıoğlu suffered a concussion after 53 minutes and had to leave the field. 53 minutes into the game, Gökçen Gencer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. İncebay SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bornova the free kick. In the 55th minute, Gökçen Gencer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the match, İncebay SK's goal looked a bit too open when Zeki Ünüvar came free, but Ecevit Remiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zeki Ünüvar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Ecevit Remiz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Zeki Ünüvar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ecevit Remiz having to interfere. The Bornova fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Bornova's Zeki Ünüvar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gökçen Gencer in the 71st minute of play forced Bornova's goalkeeper Kerim Sav to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bornova's Kerim Sav played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mustafa Haydar Onursan in the 72nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fahrettin Uçhan during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 84 played minutes Bornova got a freekick which was hit by Fahrettin Uçhan. İlker İpekli took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kerim Sav. Bornova's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Zeki Ünüvar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 94 minutes, Mustafa Emre İçöz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bornova and the İncebay SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mustafa Emre İçöz hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded Bornova left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than İncebay SK.
