In the 2nd minute Mikhail Guschin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manolo Ucero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 4th minute, Baltazar Vives hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Kazachenkov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manolo Ucero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th match minute, PERSPOLIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Curcio Torres to maneuver through the defense. Stanislav Kaiturov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guter Lama in the 11th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Mikhail Guschin put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Manolo Ucero. The Galatasaray SK fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Galatasaray SK's Denis Ispovednikov looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The goal made the score 1-2. 39 minutes into the match, PERSPOLIS's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Ispovednikov came free, but Manolo Ucero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donatello Incera's late challenge caught a Galatasaray SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donatello Incera helped the player get up and apologised. In the 39th match minute, PERSPOLIS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donatello Incera to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Denis Ispovednikov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galatasaray SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Denis Ispovednikov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. A collision led to PERSPOLIS getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Curcio Amer hit a great ball. Denis Ispovednikov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Galatasaray SK's Mikhail Guschin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manolo Ucero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Manolo Ucero made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Denis Ispovednikov sent off a good shot on target. Manolo Ucero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikhail Guschin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Donatello Incera scored 2-3 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stanislav Kaiturov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 75 minutes into the match, Galatasaray SK's goal looked a bit too open when Curcio Amer came free, but Stanislav Kaiturov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mikhail Guschin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
