Marek Gdowik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Pollakowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Bernd Heid received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Marek Gdowik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's Bernd Heid got a free kick in the 84th minute. If Bernd Heid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dominik Karanowski was shown his second yellow card after 93 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 95th minute Ernst Cakir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marek Gdowik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
