With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jim Sutton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Napoleon Bendyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andrzej Pluciennik to make the kick off. The supporters of DOJLIDY booed when Manchester City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronnie Prince didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 54 minutes of play, DOJLIDY's Andrzej Pluciennik made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
