Arrebimba o Malho SLB's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Ivar Sjödin scored to the left of an out of position Lúcio Lopes, making the score, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Bertil Kielberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Samba Fotboll U21's supporters rose to their feet, but Bertil Kielberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lúcio Lopes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Uno Åberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roberto Gama made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Ivar Sjödin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lúcio Lopes was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. The supporters of Samba Fotboll U21 booed when Arrebimba o Malho SLB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lennart Hägert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Gama in the 64th minute of the match. Lennart Hägert made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Ben Fica sent off a good shot on target. Lennart Hägert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ben Fica in the 79th minute.
