The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bertil Tidéksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Quintal having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Björn Sjö in the 10th minute of play forced Independente FC's goalkeeper Nestor Quintal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Independente FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Per-Erik Bjursell scored to the left of an out of position Nestor Quintal, making the score, 1-0. In the 21st minute Bertil Tidéksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Quintal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nestor Quintal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Lindqvist in the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Negri in the 29th minute of play forced Supreme FC's goalkeeper Helge Lingren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Helge Lingren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kurt Lindqvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 61 minutes into the game, Kurt Lindqvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Nestor Quintal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Independente FC's Nestor Quintal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Lindqvist in the 68th minute of play. Nestor Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn Sjö in the 70th minute of play. Nestor Quintal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kurt Lindqvist's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Supreme FC made a substitution. Frank Strömberg replaced Björn Sjö. In the 79th minute, Edvaldo Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonas Esteves lost his temper 81 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 83rd minute there was a penalty for Supreme FC. Per-Erik Bjursell stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nestor Quintal. 3-0. 86 minutes into the match, Independente FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Lindqvist came free, but Nestor Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Strömberg in the 88th minute of play forced Independente FC's goalkeeper Nestor Quintal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 90 minutes Independente FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emil Utter who took care of the corner kick. Emil Utter charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emil Utter the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 94 played minutes Supreme FC got a freekick which was hit by Emil Utter. Helge Lingren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Negri, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After 95 played minutes Supreme FC got a freekick which was hit by Bertil Tidéksson. Independente FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
