Spectators: 7687 (Terracing: 5766, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 153) Celta de Virgos's Damaso Marcones started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Damaso Marcones took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Frisco Abella to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Lisandro Odilon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Frisco Abella. That made the score 2-0 in the 11 minute of play. Godfredo Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Frisco Abella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo Berbiz struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Frisco Abella didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Celta de Virgos. The supporters of Celta de Virgos booed when Pepsi Fuchibol Clu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christiano Abadie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frisco Abella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Odilon in the 21st minute of play. When Hermon Abello fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's protests and gave Hermon Abello a yellow card for diving instead. Frisco Abella made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damaso Marcones in the 24th minute. In the 26th match minute, Celta de Virgos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Cloyo to maneuver through the defense. Su Abechuco, 26 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Rafael Virila notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's Frisco Abella. Frisco Abella was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 33rd minute, Christiano Abadie made a precise shot to the right of Genaro Mattin. Celta de Virgos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Godfredo Batista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Frisco Abella made a huge save. When Rafael Virila fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Celta de Virgos's protests and gave Rafael Virila a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes Celta de Virgos got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Virila. 46 minutes into the game, Celta de Virgos's Godfredo Batista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Frisco Abella made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oto Abeita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Frisco Abella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogelio Maule, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Genaro Mattin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oto Abeita in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to Pepsi Fuchibol Clu getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Su Abechuco hit a great ball. Celta de Virgos's Angelo Enekoitz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Pepsi Fuchibol Clu. Genaro Mattin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oto Abeita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celta de Virgos's Rogelio Maule got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Felix Abajas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frisco Abella came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Celta de Virgos's Damaso Marcones. But to his dismay, Damaso Marcones quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Felix Abajas hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. A collision led to Celta de Virgos getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Salvador Farias hit a great ball. Rogelio Maule sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Genaro Mattin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonardo Velasco in the 87th minute. A collision led to Pepsi Fuchibol Clu getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Leonardo Velasco hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the game, Damaso Marcones cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Frisco Abella was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
