Sly Collier made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Sly Collier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Bautista in the 27th minute of the match. The corner ended in Marcelo Domiku almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Stickleback Utd Xl's Sly Collier did a great save. A collision led to Stickleback Utd Xl getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Johnathon Hanley hit a great ball. Sly Collier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Bautista, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After 32 minutes of play, Palermo AFC's Rodrigo Bautista made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sly Collier was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Stickleback Utd Xl's zone, Rodrigo Bautista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sly Collier came out of the goal and Rodrigo Bautista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rony Schmidt was the one to do the kick off. Sly Collier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Bautista, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 57th play minute Rodrigo Bautista came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sly Collier. 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gary Pettifer in the 62nd minute of play forced Palermo AFC's goalkeeper Primitivo Jeraldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sly Collier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Bautista in the 66th minute of play. In the 70th minute Rodrigo Bautista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sly Collier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 played minutes Stickleback Utd Xl got a freekick which was hit by Gary Pettifer. Gary Pettifer hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match.
