The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adolfo Vogel might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sly Collier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adolfo Vogel ran back to his position shaking his head. The Reds's Sten Andreasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafal Majtyka in the 8th minute of play. Mikuláš Halaj could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Sten Andreasson made a huge save. The supporters of Stickleback Utd Xl booed when The Reds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aron Apelquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Johnny Lange fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Reds's protests and gave Johnny Lange a yellow card for diving instead. Johnny Lange kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Sly Collier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adolfo Vogel's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Sly Collier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Vogel in the 28th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fred Isaksson made a kick off. The Reds's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Benny Kvick in the 57th minute. When Johnny Lange came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the The Reds fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johnny Lange couldn't finish the play. Stickleback Utd Xl made a substitution. Rich Thorn replaced Johnathon Hanley. Gary Pettifer hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match.
