Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the match had been going on for 60 minutes, MIT Craiova's Romeo Gherghescu got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. FC Buzău's Leonard Aanuţei was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Calistrat Madgearu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience was convinced that Tiberiu Caramarin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gheorghe Baldovin was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiberiu Caramarin got free with Gheorghe Baldovin in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to FC Buzău getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Pavel Buculeasa hit a great ball. MIT Craiova's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
