Ivan Västlund was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Stuart Greenfield in the 6th minute of play forced Westra Aros SK's goalkeeper Ivan Västlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute Valeri Dyukmedzhiev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Västlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leicester Foxes Academy's Graeme McLise played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yngve Sjöberg in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Young in the 13th minute of play forced Westra Aros SK's goalkeeper Ivan Västlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Westra Aros SK's Yngve Sjöberg in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Leicester Foxes Academy booed when Westra Aros SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Eckegren didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Leicester Foxes Academy's Graeme McLise got control of the ball when Don Nickler tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Håkan Söderberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alan Young scored 0-2 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivan Västlund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Elpidio Hever hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Don Nickler kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Graeme McLise. That made the score 1-2 in the 42 minute of play. If Don Nickler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 57th minute Harvey Bowler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Västlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leicester Foxes Academy made a substitution. Jez Alcock replaced Peter Pennant. The supporters of Westra Aros SK booed when Leicester Foxes Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Pennant didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alan Young could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Ivan Västlund made a huge save. In the 70th minute, Jez Alcock reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ivan Västlund. The goal made the score 1-3. With his leg Ivan Västlund managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Leicester Foxes Academy's Stuart Greenfield fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alan Young could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Ivan Västlund made a huge save. Don Back kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After 84 played minutes Westra Aros SK got a freekick which was hit by Mark Eckegren. Ivan Västlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Wilson in the 86th minute of the match. Tod Noble kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Leicester Foxes Academy's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
