Norberto Eriz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júnior Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Alfonso Boni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Lúcio Domingues made a huge save. Norberto Eriz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Glauco Aparecido went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisco Rozarius during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Challacó's Francisco Rozarius got a free kick in the 45th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Glauco Aparecido made a kick off. In the 55th minute Júnior Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Eriz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Desiderio Mano kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glauco Aparecido in the 76th minute of play forced Challacó's goalkeeper Norberto Eriz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luciano Pereira got free with Norberto Eriz in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ivo Furtado charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 83 played minutes, Challacó's Edgard Txilar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lúcio Domingues came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Challacó reached it. Norberto Eriz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glauco Aparecido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Alfonso Boni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Challacó's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfonso Boni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lúcio Domingues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Norberto Eriz came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Capivara FC's Júnior Veloso. But to his dismay, Júnior Veloso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Capivara FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
