Marcel Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Hagström having to interfere. In the 5th match minute, Rank 1 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conny Vesterberg to maneuver through the defense. Adriano Figueiredo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Marcus Hagström skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 7 minutes into the game, Adriano Figueiredo lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Marcus Hagström. Marcus Hagström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cambotinha EC were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Rank 1's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Falcão Novaes took the corner. Adriano Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Hagström having to interfere. Conny Vesterberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Norberto Alvarenga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th match minute, Cambotinha EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Moreira to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Falcão Novaes from long distance, 26 minutes into the match, got Marcus Hagström's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Stig-Arne Dalström hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Rank 1's Marcus Hagström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Figueiredo in the 28th minute of play. Adriano Figueiredo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 30th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Norberto Alvarenga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulf Ros in the 33rd minute of play. Marcus Hagström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Figueiredo in the 36th minute of the match. Stig-Arne Dalström hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. A hard shot 40 in the game by Adriano Figueiredo from a close distance when the talented Marcus Hagström managed to make a qualified save. Rank 1's players were relieved. A nice corner shot did that Falcão Novaes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcus Hagström quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Marcel Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When Cambotinha EC's Adriano Figueiredo in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rank 1's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Conny Vesterberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Norberto Alvarenga. That made the score 1-1 in the 57 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Börje Samuelsson in the 60th minute of play forced Cambotinha EC's goalkeeper Norberto Alvarenga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcus Hagström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 64 played minutes Cambotinha EC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Gaúcho. 66 minutes into the match, Börje Samuelsson notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Cambotinha EC's Norberto Alvarenga. Norberto Alvarenga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Falcão Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute Falcão Novaes suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Stig-Arne Dalström fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rank 1's protests and gave Stig-Arne Dalström a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cambotinha EC booed when Rank 1 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Arne Dalström didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Cambotinha EC defense, Dick Lindgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Norberto Alvarenga. The Cambotinha EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Norberto Alvarenga should have stopped the shot. 82 minutes into the game, Gláuber Teixeira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cambotinha EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rank 1 the free kick. 83 minutes into the game, Fredric Åhman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Norberto Alvarenga. Fredric Åhman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. After 90 played minutes Rank 1 got a freekick which was hit by Östen Unesson. Alfredão Gaúcho was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 92nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Norberto Alvarenga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conny Vesterberg in the 95th minute of play. Chants of Rank 1 echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Cambotinha EC had held the ball for most of the match.
