In the 13th match minute, Attard Gunners was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clyde Schembri Zerafa to maneuver through the defense. Amadeo Rapinett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ubaldo Honesto in the 15th minute. Attard Gunners's Amadeo Rapinett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ubaldo Honesto in the 16th minute of play. After 16 minutes, Jake Debono mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Attard Gunners and the De Boedo Vengo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes Attard Gunners got a freekick which was hit by Jake Debono. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualterio Estefan in the 17th minute of play forced Attard Gunners's goalkeeper Amadeo Rapinett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Sebastian Nyman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albert Diacono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Salim Adas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 33 minutes, Clyde Schembri Zerafa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Attard Gunners and the De Boedo Vengo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 33 played minutes Attard Gunners got a freekick which was hit by Clyde Schembri Zerafa. With his leg Amadeo Rapinett managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when De Boedo Vengo's Gualterio Estefan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Salim Adas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Diacono in the 36th minute of play. After 41 minutes of play, De Boedo Vengo's Gualterio Estefan made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amadeo Rapinett was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 44th match minute, De Boedo Vengo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Beltza to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Attard Gunners booed when De Boedo Vengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubaldo Honesto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, De Boedo Vengo's Fulgencio Lalla got a free kick in the 50th minute. Attard Gunners's Amadeo Rapinett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualterio Estefan in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute of the match Joshua Demanuele shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Salim Adas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Salim Adas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lawrence De Marco, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute Attard Gunners were awarded a corner. Jake Debono went to the cornerflag to take it. Clyde Schembri Zerafa kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 70thth minute. Though ot was a great shot De Boedo Vengo's keeper Salim Adas was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. After 76 played minutes Attard Gunners got a freekick which was hit by Mario Pullicino. In the 80th minute Gualterio Estefan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Rapinett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lawrence De Marco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amadeo Rapinett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gualterio Estefan's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. William De Lucca kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Ubaldo Honesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 90 played minutes De Boedo Vengo got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Honesto. Attard Gunners made a substitution. Ryan Padovani replaced Albert Diacono. A collision led to De Boedo Vengo getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Ubaldo Honesto hit a great ball. Joshua Demanuele's late challenge caught a De Boedo Vengo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joshua Demanuele helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Attard Gunners's Joshua Demanuele got a free kick in the 94th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The De Boedo Vengo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Attard Gunners had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
