Ukko Niemi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fedele Scirea, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Kustaa Vappula got a throw-in 41 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Tero Haakana. Fedele Scirea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thomas Ujfalusi hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute of the match Santtu Pietiläinen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Naci Şehzat showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Aatto Hänninen scored 0-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Naci Şehzat, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fedele Scirea to strike the kick off in the second half.
