Kapar came free, but Marcelo De Mitri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nippur de Lagash 2's Marcelo De Mitri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lv Xiao Zhi in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lv Xiao Zhi in the 17th minute of play forced Nippur de Lagash 2's goalkeeper Marcelo De Mitri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Lv Xiao Zhi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo De Mitri. Nippur de Lagash 2's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lv Xiao Zhi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. J.P. Kapar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelo De Mitri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Judas Bricaud hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Roncourt's Mounir Perry proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Roncourt from getting a goal against them. In the 45th minute Roncourt were awarded a corner. J.P. Kapar went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Roncourt's Horácio Larreta to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcelo De Mitri despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Nippur de Lagash 2 getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Casimiro Cordarell hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Casimiro Cordarell to make the kick off. In the 54th minute of the game Noël Chiche made a throw-in which Lv Xiao Zhi played forward. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Lv Xiao Zhi took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Marcelo De Mitri to make any attempt to save it. Roncourt's Gustave Marcilly got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcelo De Mitri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from J.P. Kapar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 75 in the game by Léon Cailleaux from a close distance when the talented Marcelo De Mitri managed to make a qualified save. Nippur de Lagash 2's players were relieved. Léon Cailleaux had several of the Nippur de Lagash 2's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 75 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Marcelo De Mitri as he didn't even see the shot coming. A collision led to Nippur de Lagash 2 getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Casimiro Cordarell hit a great ball. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Nippur de Lagash 2's goalkeeper Marcelo De Mitri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Nippur de Lagash 2's zone, Léon Cailleaux stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo De Mitri came out of the goal and Léon Cailleaux tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Léon Cailleaux got free with Marcelo De Mitri in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 93 minutes into the game, Judas Bricaud threw the ball into play from the sideline. Nippur de Lagash 2's Hernan Fidencio quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The Nippur de Lagash 2 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Roncourt were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
