The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Ive Volckaerts left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VC zoetwater fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Deportivo ScrugenFC's goal looked a bit too open when Patrik Olsson came free, but Baiarte Cazares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Sharkin in the 14th minute of play forced Deportivo ScrugenFC's goalkeeper Baiarte Cazares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Bernardo Sharkin came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the VC zoetwater fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardo Sharkin couldn't finish the play. Patrik Olsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martxot Peroalfonso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Gong Ying Zheng made a huge save. Gong Ying Zheng stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martxot Peroalfonso's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Baiarte Cazares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ive Volckaerts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baiarte Cazares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ive Volckaerts, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 32nd minute, Gusztáv Bács got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baiarte Cazares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ive Volckaerts in the 33rd minute of play. Gong Ying Zheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Valderrama in the 34th minute of play. After 35 minutes, Martxot Peroalfonso made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. VC zoetwater's Gong Ying Zheng tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Patrik Olsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute Deportivo ScrugenFC were awarded a corner. Zeng Jian Cheng went to the cornerflag to take it. Deportivo ScrugenFC's Zeng Jian Cheng was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gong Ying Zheng in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Baiarte Cazares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrik Olsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernardo Sharkin was the one to do the kick off. Bel Vitoria kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Deportivo ScrugenFC's Baiarte Cazares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Sharkin in the 52nd minute of play. After some careless play in the VC zoetwater defense, Martxot Peroalfonso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gong Ying Zheng. The VC zoetwater fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gong Ying Zheng should have stopped the shot. VC zoetwater made a substitution. Fabien Pardons replaced Gusztáv Bács. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Sharkin in the 81st minute of play forced Deportivo ScrugenFC's goalkeeper Baiarte Cazares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baiarte Cazares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anthony Dumont, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Baiarte Cazares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabien Pardons in the 90th minute of the match. Baiarte Cazares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anthony Dumont in the 91st minute. VC zoetwater played a much better game than Deportivo ScrugenFC and deserved their victory. The Deportivo ScrugenFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
