In the 17th match minute, Cestarolli FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betinho Peixoto to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Cestarolli FC's zone, Aristides Phelipe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hélder Vinhas came out of the goal and Aristides Phelipe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th minute, Leonel Messi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Crottos Crotters F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 22 minutes into the match, Leonel Messi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hélder Vinhas. Cestarolli FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonel Messi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After 29 played minutes Cestarolli FC got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Aparecido. After a rather tough play, Cestarolli FC's André Bastos got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Benigno Elija fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Hélder Vinhas, passed just outside the right post. Cestarolli FC's Hélder Vinhas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Messi in the 36th minute of play. Cestarolli FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Leonel Messi scored to the left of an out of position Hélder Vinhas, making the score, 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Guido Socorro hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the match, Cestarolli FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benigno Elija came free, but Hélder Vinhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Crottos Crotters F.C.'s Hugo Moralez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hélder Vinhas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Crottos Crotters F.C. made a substitution. Tomas Cibran replaced Eriberto Espiridion. Froilan Paublo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 67th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Leonel Messi scored 9-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hélder Vinhas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hélder Vinhas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Messi, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute of the match Crottos Crotters F.C. got a corner. Cestarolli FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Froilan Paublo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Crottos Crotters F.C.'s Froilan Paublo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hélder Vinhas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 73rd minute, Leonel Messi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hélder Vinhas was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0.
