After 8 minutes of play, Emerald's Victor Piţurcă made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gervasio Larra was left in no man's land by his defense there! Victor Piţurcă didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 3-0 via right post in the game's 11th minute. Emerald's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Victor Piţurcă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gervasio Larra having to interfere. After having played for 18 minutes, Victor Piţurcă managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Emerald's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victor Piţurcă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leonel Pancho made in the 22nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jacobo Cortez. If Victor Piţurcă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 27th minute Victor Piţurcă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gervasio Larra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Piţurcă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29th minute, Lucrețiu Dinulescu made a precise shot to the right of Gervasio Larra. Deportivo Messina's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Victor Piţurcă took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gervasio Larra. Gervasio Larra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Victor Piţurcă might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gervasio Larra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Piţurcă ran back to his position shaking his head. Victor Piţurcă might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gervasio Larra. In the 46th minute, Matei Félix Júnior hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emerald were awarded a corner in the 50th minute after Deportivo Messina's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Julio Iglesias took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Gabriel Mălaimare heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucrețiu Dinulescu made a kick off. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of Deportivo Messina:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Emerald:s goal. Gervasio Larra had in the 56thth minute some difficulties stopping Victor Piţurcă's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Leonel Pancho got a throw-in 62 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Eduardo Araoz. Fabio Atarratze made in the 66th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jacobo Cortez however managed to control. If Victor Piţurcă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Victor Piţurcă blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gervasio Larra having to make a save. Gervasio Larra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Piţurcă, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Emerald's attentive 朱风俊 managed to snatch the ball when Leonel Pancho made a throw-in in the 77th minute of the game. In the 81stth minute of the game Victor Piţurcă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Messina's Gervasio Larra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Deportivo Messina's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Piţurcă came free, but Gervasio Larra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Victor Piţurcă put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gervasio Larra. Gervasio Larra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Piţurcă's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Victor Piţurcă might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gervasio Larra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Piţurcă ran back to his position shaking his head. The throw-in from Leonel Pancho in the 97th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Emerald's Niculae Negreanu. Gervasio Larra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Piţurcă's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. In the 99th minute, Victor Piţurcă ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gervasio Larra was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Emerald walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
