Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Caicedo Berrondo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Virgilio Canton kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Caicedo Berrondo in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Miguel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rodrigo Caborredondo kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. If Geovanni Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Oso Amezaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Gai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Miguel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caicedo Berrondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 28 minutes into the match, GRÊMIO's goal looked a bit too open when Caicedo Berrondo came free, but Carlos Miguel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Miguel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caicedo Berrondo's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by GRÊMIO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Betão Ramos was slow to take the kick. During this time C.A. GUAYACO's players had a chance to rest. Carlos Miguel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caicedo Berrondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After a rather tough play, C.A. GUAYACO's Maximo León got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 46th match minute, GRÊMIO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Gai to maneuver through the defense.

The wind increased when Roberto Fontes made the kick off in the second half. Carlos Miguel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariusz Rykaczewski in the 54th minute of play. After 59 played minutes GRÊMIO got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo Pirani. C.A. GUAYACO's Betão Ramos shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 59th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Carlos Miguel but with some difficulty. Mendoza Joseph recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, GRÊMIO's Geovanni Maia got a free kick in the 67th minute. 78 minutes into the match, GRÊMIO's goal looked a bit too open when Hieronim Faron came free, but Carlos Miguel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. C.A. GUAYACO's Alfaro Moreno was substituted for Mendoza Joseph. After a rather tough play, C.A. GUAYACO's Virgilio Canton got a free kick in the 80th minute. Oso Amezaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Gai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to GRÊMIO getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Roberto Fontes hit a great ball. GRÊMIO's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
