After 24 played minutes MIT Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Sever Dobrescu. 2-0 became the score in the 25th minute when Valdir Magalhães elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgard Vasconcelos during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th match minute, OTTO FC - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute Cristi Foltea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafu Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Teodor Lucaci was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MIT Craiova's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave OTTO FC - FSCMZ the free kick. After 47 played minutes MIT Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Teodor Lucaci. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 65th minute, Flavius Câmpeanu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cafu Linares. The goal made the score 2-2. After 71 minutes of play, MIT Craiova's Cristi Foltea made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cafu Linares was left in no man's land by his defense there! MIT Craiova's Sergiu Taşcă was substituted for Grigore Rizescu. 83 minutes into the match, OTTO FC - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Cristi Foltea came free, but Cafu Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Cristi Foltea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cafu Linares. OTTO FC - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristi Foltea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. 89 minutes into the match, OTTO FC - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Sergiu Costa came free, but Cafu Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MIT Craiova's Sergiu Costa was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 89th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. With a little luck, OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Cafu Linares got control of the ball when Cristi Foltea tried to sneak it across the goal line. The MIT Craiova players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
