The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Guilherme Matorin during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luiz Guilherme Matorin kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Gabri Arias came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Barcellos Mineiro FC's Eriberto Vidal. But to his dismay, Eriberto Vidal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Julio Olarticoechea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Waldir Peres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute Eriberto Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabri Arias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabri Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guga Capixaba in the 16th minute of play. When Luiz Guilherme Matorin came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Barcellos Mineiro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Guilherme Matorin couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the match, Barcellos Mineiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nunez Arias came free, but Waldir Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Waldir Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nunez Arias in the 24th minute of the match. Waka Barcellos charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Waka Barcellos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Barcellos Mineiro FC's Luiz Guilherme Matorin got a free kick in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Batista in the 34th minute of play forced Barcellos Mineiro FC's goalkeeper Waldir Peres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Waldir Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Olarticoechea in the 37th minute of the match. Luiz Guilherme Matorin hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredo Veto during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, AFC FUSION's Alfredo Veto got a free kick in the 39th minute. Waldir Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nunez Arias in the 44th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eriberto Vidal made a kick off. Waldir Peres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nunez Arias in the 54th minute of play. Guga Capixaba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabri Arias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. When Leandro Soares fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barcellos Mineiro FC's protests and gave Leandro Soares a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th match minute, Barcellos Mineiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leandro Soares to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of AFC FUSION booed when Barcellos Mineiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eriberto Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute Julio Olarticoechea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Olarticoechea hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Waldir Peres made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Ciro Lando sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute, Maximiliano Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the match, Anacleto Ciceron had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Waldir Peres. Barcellos Mineiro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anacleto Ciceron was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. AFC FUSION succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Barcellos Mineiro FC had controlled the match.
