In the 9thth minute of the game Zé Paulo Fontes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tello AFC's Mariano Caton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zé Paulo Fontes hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Balendin in the 21st minute of play forced Lupere FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Silas Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th match minute, Tello AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Hustaz to maneuver through the defense. The Lupere FC - DMZ fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Lupere FC - DMZ's Marcelo de Souza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 31 minutes into the match, Tello AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo de Souza came free, but Mariano Caton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariano Caton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo de Souza in the 38th minute of the match. Marcelo de Souza took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mariano Caton. Mariano Caton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 46thth minute of the game Marcelo de Souza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tello AFC's Mariano Caton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 48th minute of the match Lupere FC - DMZ got a corner. Tello AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcel Brodel ran over to the corner to take the kick. After the first half Lupere FC - DMZ were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diego Balendin was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelo de Souza got free with Mariano Caton in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Tello AFC's Octavio Natal got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Lupere FC - DMZ's Zé Paulo Fontes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mariano Caton. That made the score 0-3 after 60 minutes of play. Virgilio Baristo hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Marcelo de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lupere FC - DMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelo de Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mariano Caton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 71st minute Pascual Gonsalvo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silas Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tello AFC's Mariano Caton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Tello AFC from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Marcelo de Souza put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Mariano Caton. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justino Kismi in the 92nd minute of play forced Lupere FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Silas Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christiano Magalhães was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 96 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the game, one of Lupere FC - DMZ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The Lupere FC - DMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lupere FC - DMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
