After 44 played minutes, Caballeritos del Baile's Teodosio Herauso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paulo José Rodrigues came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Caballeritos del Baile reached it. In the 45th minute, Aírton de Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Queluzito were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The crowd rose to their feet as Queluzito's Nando Lima slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Albano Hitzeder. That made the score 1-6 after 78 minutes of play. With a little luck, Caballeritos del Baile's Albano Hitzeder got control of the ball when Nando Lima tried to sneak it across the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Hílton Mineiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-8. Albano Hitzeder was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Segundo Orzaize hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The Caballeritos del Baile fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Queluzito were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
