Judas Verón received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Virgilio Mateus came out and tried to block the shot, but Judas Verón slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 9th minute. In the 13th minute, Belgrano de Pibasog's Judas Verón ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Virgilio Mateus. Virgilio Mateus yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 16 minutes into the match, Belgrano de Pibasog's Judas Verón sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Virgilio Mateus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 19 minutes into the game, JK Kurevere's Jarmo Laik nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernardo Raggio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. A hard shot 28 in the game by Judas Verón from a close distance when the talented Virgilio Mateus managed to make a qualified save. JK Kurevere's players were relieved. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind JK Kurevere's goalkeeper Virgilio Mateus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Belgrano de Pibasog's corner Eustaquio Fortun fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Virgilio Mateus quite easily take care of the ball. In the 43rd minute Dawid Beninda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Raggio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Virgilio Mateus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Judas Verón, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Judas Verón made a kick off. In the 51st minute Dawid Beninda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Raggio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Belgrano de Pibasog's Melquiades Henrico was substituted for Marcel Mavrodin. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind JK Kurevere's goalkeeper Virgilio Mateus, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Belgrano de Pibasog's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
