Andriy Shevchenko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Jaime Almeida made a huge save. Corinthians's Jaime Almeida proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Corinthians from getting a goal against them. 24 minutes into the match, Corinthians's goal looked a bit too open when Sukma Adriansyah came free, but Jaime Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

José Vítor Ramos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. CJ 曾诚 came out and tried to block the shot, but José Vítor Ramos slotted it home off the left post making it 4-2 in the 96th minute. Corinthians's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
