The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Tord Böcklund the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Matos Velhos protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Tord Böcklund had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Sabino Vilhena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thorvald Mansel struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Vito de Godoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Dalin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Ritchell in the 44th minute of play forced Matos Velhos's goalkeeper Vito de Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trần Ritchell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vito de Godoi having to make a save. In the 47th minute Trần Ritchell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Hoàng Tran didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Júlio Gentil went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. If Jiang Qing Lin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
