Didi Cardozo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcos Ranolfo came out and tried to block the shot, but Didi Cardozo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 12th minute. Borys Gruchacz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Concetto Trasatti, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. A throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game was made by Prospero Gabirel with Maximo Dei as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 37 minutes into the match, Joinville United - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Cordarrel came free, but Borys Gruchacz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Borys Gruchacz came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Estudiantes de América's Concetto Trasatti. But to his dismay, Concetto Trasatti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Hilario Gurutz kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The wind increased when Mané Lara made the kick off in the second half. Borys Gruchacz made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Joel Cordarrel sent off a good shot on target. In the 66th minute, Diego Simeone hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Prospero Perfecto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcos Ranolfo. Joinville United - FSCMZ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Maximo Dei ran over to the corner to take the kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Estudiantes de América's Cornelio Ruisko slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Borys Gruchacz. That made the score 4-4 after 94 minutes of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
