The referee ignored Southall's protests and gave Ambrósio Lourenço a yellow card for diving instead. Bearnaise EA's Ola Toivonen was substituted for Bruno Sayvion. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 2nd minute of the game. One of Southall:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bearnaise EA:s goal. Southall:s Afonso Montoia showed great skill when he stopped Jan-Erik Kjellberg:s penalty. After 5 minutes of play, Bearnaise EA's Jan-Erik Kjellberg made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Afonso Montoia was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 7 played minutes Southall got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Moco. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ola Toivonen couldn't finish the play. In the 30th match minute, Bearnaise EA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matz Kęd to maneuver through the defense. Afonso Montoia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ola Toivonen's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Afonso Montoia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ola Toivonen in the 40th minute of play. Ola Toivonen might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Afonso Montoia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ola Toivonen ran back to his position shaking his head. Afonso Montoia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ola Toivonen, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The Bearnaise EA fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Bearnaise EA's Ola Toivonen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ola Toivonen struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Afonso Montoia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bearnaise EA. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ola Toivonen to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes of play, Bearnaise EA's Ola Toivonen made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Afonso Montoia didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Bearnaise EA's Ola Toivonen shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 8-0 in the ordered_time% minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ola Toivonen in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Afonso Montoia saved Southall from getting behind. If Ola Toivonen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Southall's Afonso Montoia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ola Toivonen in the 83rd minute of play. Marílio Chafes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Svante Björkdahl having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ola Toivonen in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afonso Montoia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Southall's Afonso Montoia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ola Toivonen in the 88th minute of play. In the 94th minute, Maurício Matta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ola Toivonen scored 9-0 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Afonso Montoia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bearnaise EA's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
