Spectators: 587 (Terracing: 441, Seating: 135, VIP seats: 11) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jarūnas Kuliešius got the match started through his kick off. Karl-Michael Bremming could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Sebastián Sosa made a huge save. With a little luck, Vikingos FC's Sebastián Sosa got control of the ball when Karl-Michael Bremming tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 6 minutes of play, Vikingos FC's Marco Cantona made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edvīns van der Sar was left in no man's land by his defense there! 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vikingos FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jarūnas Kuliešius was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Alytus United's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Jarūnas Kuliešius got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sebastián Sosa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sebastián Sosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daavid Šembera in the 13th minute. Marco Cantona scored 0-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edvīns van der Sar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 18th minute Marco Cantona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvīns van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edvīns van der Sar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Cantona's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. 1-2 became the score in the 24th minute when Kris Chamberlain elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 27 minutes, Marco Cantona made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. FC Alytus United's Edvīns van der Sar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tarmo Kaare hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 34th match minute, FC Alytus United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kris Chamberlain to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute, Marco Cantona made a precise shot to the right of Edvīns van der Sar. FC Alytus United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marco Cantona was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Marco Cantona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvīns van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 52 played minutes Vikingos FC got a freekick which was hit by Lucrețiu Filipașcu. Sebastián Sosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kris Chamberlain, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Edvīns van der Sar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarmo Kaare in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kris Chamberlain in the 55th minute of play forced Vikingos FC's goalkeeper Sebastián Sosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marek Torm in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edvīns van der Sar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Alytus United's Edvīns van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marek Torm in the 64th minute of play. Edvīns van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Cantona in the 65th minute of the match. Cássio Lopes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 67th minute. Vikingos FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With his leg Edvīns van der Sar managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Vikingos FC's Marco Cantona fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sebastián Sosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarūnas Kuliešius in the 71st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Alytus United's zone, Marco Cantona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edvīns van der Sar came out of the goal and Marco Cantona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, FC Alytus United's Edvīns van der Sar got control of the ball when Ladislao Erramu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 79thth minute of the game Jarūnas Kuliešius who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vikingos FC's Sebastián Sosa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 84th minute, Ladislao Erramu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edvīns van der Sar. The goal made the score 1-5. In the 88th minute, Luciano Lleir fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Vikingos FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcelo Perico in the 92nd minute. Lowrey Fallen hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.

Vikingos FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
