After a rather tough play, USS Enterprise's Wilhelm Hildmann got a free kick in the 8th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingemar Kilman in the 9th minute of play forced USS Enterprise's goalkeeper Basilio Barrientos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Fluminense DF booed when USS Enterprise was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Etxekopar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Basilio Barrientos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Basilio Barrientos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Furlan in the 15th minute of play. After 17 minutes USS Enterprise's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luiz Trigo who took care of the corner kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Ingemar Kilman got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-0. 17 minutes into the match. Alfredo de Alcântara might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Basilio Barrientos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredo de Alcântara ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredo de Alcântara got free with Basilio Barrientos in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st minute Osvaldo Furlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Barrientos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlisle Schultz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julien Zaugg in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo de Alcântara in the 23rd minute of play forced USS Enterprise's goalkeeper Basilio Barrientos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. USS Enterprise's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Alfredo de Alcântara scored to the left of an out of position Basilio Barrientos, making the score, 2-0. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Basilio Barrientos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Etxekopar during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 33rd minute, Manuel Etxekopar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. USS Enterprise's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Alfredo de Alcântara scored to the left of an out of position Basilio Barrientos, making the score, 3-0. Basilio Barrientos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo de Alcântara in the 38th minute of play. Alfredo de Alcântara didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 4-0 via right post in the game's 42nd minute. Fluminense DF's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Osvaldo Furlan might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Basilio Barrientos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osvaldo Furlan ran back to his position shaking his head. Fluminense DF's Alfredo de Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredo de Alcântara to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind USS Enterprise's goalkeeper Basilio Barrientos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 53rd minute of the match Fluminense DF got a corner. USS Enterprise's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luiz Trigo ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Fluminense DF's corner Luiz Trigo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Basilio Barrientos quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo de Alcântara in the 55th minute of play forced USS Enterprise's goalkeeper Basilio Barrientos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredo de Alcântara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Basilio Barrientos having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in USS Enterprise's zone, Alfredo de Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Barrientos came out of the goal and Alfredo de Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 60 minutes into the game, Florian Otto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. USS Enterprise's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fluminense DF the free kick. Florian Otto kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Caio Travassos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Basilio Barrientos. USS Enterprise's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Caio Travassos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Alfredo de Alcântara put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Basilio Barrientos. Basilio Barrientos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo de Alcântara in the 70th minute of play. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by USS Enterprise's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luiz Trigo was slow to take the kick. During this time Fluminense DF's players had a chance to rest. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Alfredo de Alcântara advanced and headed the ball into goal, 7-0 in the 71st minute. Basilio Barrientos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo de Alcântara in the 78th minute of the match. After some careless play in the USS Enterprise defense, Alfredo de Alcântara kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Basilio Barrientos. The USS Enterprise fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Basilio Barrientos should have stopped the shot. Alfredo de Alcântara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Basilio Barrientos having to make a save. If Alfredo de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Trigo took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Basilio Barrientos. Basilio Barrientos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. In the 92nd minute, Osvaldo Furlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Fluminense DF's Alfredo de Alcântara in 94 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Basilio Barrientos guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Wilhelm Hildmann was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to USS Enterprise getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Wilhelm Hildmann hit a great ball. Basilio Barrientos came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Fluminense DF's Alfredo de Alcântara. But to his dismay, Alfredo de Alcântara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fluminense DF fans cheered their team off the field, for while USS Enterprise had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
