The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Academia VSKG's César Aguiar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Éder Matos. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Ian Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academia VSKG's supporters rose to their feet, but Ian Neto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Éder Matos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isidoro Caldas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diguinho Tinoco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, César Aguiar took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Éder Matos to make any attempt to save it. César Aguiar struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Éder Matos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academia VSKG. Guga Capixabas short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Éder Matos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Moisés Peralta charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moisés Peralta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Academia VSKG booed when SC Mouguelas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moisés Peralta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Éder Matos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of César Aguiar's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Diguinho Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Caldas in the 33rd minute of play. Moisés Peralta kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. When Academia VSKG's César Aguiar in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Mouguelas's goalie prevented a goal. In the last second Éder Matos throw himself and got hold of the ball when César Aguiar in the 45thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Salgueiro to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Manoel Batista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academia VSKG's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Mouguelas the free kick. After 53 played minutes Academia VSKG got a freekick which was hit by Manoel Batista. In the 54th minute of the match David Lamego sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diguinho Tinoco skillfully saved the ball. Moisés Peralta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diguinho Tinoco having to interfere. In the 57th minute, César Aguiar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academia VSKG fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Éder Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César Aguiar in the 63rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling César Aguiar in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Éder Matos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. César Aguiar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Éder Matos having to make a save. 67 minutes into the match, SC Mouguelas's goal looked a bit too open when César Aguiar came free, but Éder Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Éder Matos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of César Aguiar's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Diguinho Tinoco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isidoro Caldas in the 73rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling César Aguiar in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Éder Matos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to SC Mouguelas getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Torcato Aragão hit a great ball. When Academia VSKG's César Aguiar in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Mouguelas's goalie prevented a goal. Diguinho Tinoco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Salgueiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Diguinho Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Salgueiro in the 91st minute of the match. In the 96th minute, SC Mouguelas's Carlos Salgueiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Diguinho Tinoco. Diguinho Tinoco yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 6-1. When the referee ended the match the Academia VSKG players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
