When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Paulo Godoi took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Hamílton Chaves to make any attempt to save it. Betinho Trancoso kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Hamílton Chaves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Godoi's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Palestra do Interior's Allan Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elói Barreto in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute Paulo Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hamílton Chaves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Godoi in the 22nd minute. In the 26th minute, Adelino Ramalho made a precise shot to the right of Allan Varela. Palestra do Interior's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitório Lago in the 29th minute of play forced Ligeiro F.C's goalkeeper Hamílton Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Godoi was the one to do the kick off. Hamílton Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percival Cruz in the 95th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Palestra do Interior had won after a very even match.
