When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Dorin Vrânceanu took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Isaio Silio to make any attempt to save it. Isaio Silio was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Octavian Silvestru capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Octavian Silvestru really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. A sloppy throw-in by Anatolie Papuc in the 17th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Deportivo Tachira's Silverio Alguerdo. Dragos Enicov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Tabliega, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Isaio Silio was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Eduard Micineanu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eduard Micineanu really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. U21 Moldova's Mihail Dumitras was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 30th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Igor Jereghi made in the 33rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Deportivo Tachira's Nardo Giraldez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbes Beitia in the 34th minute of play forced U21 Moldova's goalkeeper Dragos Enicov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbes Beitia in the 44th minute of play forced U21 Moldova's goalkeeper Dragos Enicov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Deportivo Tachira's goal looked a bit too open when Octavian Silvestru came free, but Isaio Silio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Salvador Tabliega was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Mihail Dumitras had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isaio Silio. Deportivo Tachira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mihail Dumitras was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. The supporters of U21 Moldova booed when Deportivo Tachira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oihan Carneiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the game, Eduard Micineanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Isaio Silio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Isaio Silio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihail Dumitras, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Isaio Silio came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Moldova's Mihail Postolache. But to his dismay, Mihail Postolache quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 11-0. Deportivo Tachira's Isaio Silio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihail Postolache in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute Dorin Vrânceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaio Silio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isaio Silio came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Moldova's Dorin Vrânceanu. But to his dismay, Dorin Vrânceanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-0.
