Evgeniy Fomichev's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Eugenio Fidensio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Igor Akinfeev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Igor Akinfeev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Txomin, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Gleb Sorokin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eugenio Fidensio. That made the score 1-0 in the 42 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fedor Ivanchuk made a kick off. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Voskresensk FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Isidoro Truylos was slow to take the kick. During this time Gallo Moron's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Isidoro Truylos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Voskresensk FC's Igor Akinfeev did a great save. 54 minutes into the match, Gallo Moron's goal looked a bit too open when Gleb Sorokin came free, but Eugenio Fidensio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denis Txomin struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Igor Akinfeev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gallo Moron. If Gleb Sorokin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernesto Farias got free with Igor Akinfeev in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gallo Moron made a substitution. Urbano Viviano replaced Joel Gudesteo. Voskresensk FC made a substitution. Timofey Solomakhin replaced Vladimir Safarov. Isidoro Truylos made a great header on Gallo Moron's corner, it was just that Voskresensk FC's Igor Akinfeev managed to reach the ball for a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gleb Sorokin in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugenio Fidensio saved Gallo Moron from getting behind. If Saturnino Astigar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Gallo Moron's Ignacio Valiente got a free kick in the 89th minute. If Evgeniy Fomichev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Voskresensk FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
