San Martin de Tucuman's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 20th minute Ander Hoyos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cecilio Jax saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Apolo Rius made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Ivan Copil sent off a good shot on target. In the 41st minute of the game Ubaldo Veto made a throw-in which Luciano Selmo played forward. After 44 played minutes San Martin de Tucuman got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Osasun. Jiang Jun Yang hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The San Martin de Tucuman players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Latocayteva F.C. were winning 0-1.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Copil couldn't finish the play. After 58 played minutes San Martin de Tucuman got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Copil. Latocayteva F.C.'s Apolo Rius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Copil in the 60th minute of play. After some careless play in the San Martin de Tucuman defense, Albano Abadia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cecilio Jax. The San Martin de Tucuman fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cecilio Jax should have stopped the shot. 69 minutes into the match, San Martin de Tucuman's goal looked a bit too open when Albano Abadia came free, but Cecilio Jax reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivan Copil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Latocayteva F.C. made a substitution. Nesor Vacas replaced Edgar Caeiro. San Martin de Tucuman's Severino Elorri was substituted for Luciano Selmo. 76 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Garay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Latocayteva F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Martin de Tucuman the free kick. The supporters of San Martin de Tucuman booed when Latocayteva F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Garay didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Latocayteva F.C. getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Hitzeder Lorenzo hit a great ball. In the 82nd match minute, San Martin de Tucuman was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 庄雄鹏 to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albano Abadia got free with Cecilio Jax in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivan Copil in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Apolo Rius saved Latocayteva F.C. from getting behind. When the final whistle went the supporters of Latocayteva F.C. were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant San Martin de Tucuman side.
