Tomas Todor was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 48 minutes into the match. In the 50th minute of the match Emrullah Erboy shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hendrik Kramer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Camilo Caetano to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Estevez in the 63rd minute of play forced Bozkurt's goalkeeper Arda Göksel Yalman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
