After 16 played minutes, East Grinstead's Stu Weston shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper 齐常鹏 came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in East Grinstead reached it. 齐常鹏 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fraser Gerrard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute of the match, 邱笑沙 tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vincent Straker saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 20 minutes into the game, Greg Nightingale was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. East Grinstead's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 广珠波胆足球俱乐部 the free kick. But to his dismay, Greg Nightingale quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 邱笑沙 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Vincent Straker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, 尤森旭 got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joshua Strongman kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
