Sandu Cigu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgil Tănăsocă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sandu Cigu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorel Tudor in the 8th minute of the match. Iacob Pamfil kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute of the match Daniel Magherescu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sandu Cigu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sandu Cigu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorel Tudor in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute Silviu Bălțăteanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandu Cigu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. BULDOZERUL SANTA FE's Eric Gherghe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save BULDOZERUL SANTA FE from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute, Virgil Tănăsocă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silviu Bălțăteanu in the 21st minute of play forced -BZF- Chimia Buzau's goalkeeper Sandu Cigu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Poenaru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martin Poenaru in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eric Gherghe saved BULDOZERUL SANTA FE from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Martin Poenaru took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Eric Gherghe to make any attempt to save it. With a little luck, BULDOZERUL SANTA FE's Eric Gherghe got control of the ball when Matei Blaga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Poenaru in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eric Gherghe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The -BZF- Chimia Buzau fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when -BZF- Chimia Buzau's Martin Poenaru looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The audience was convinced that Martin Poenaru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eric Gherghe was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. When Virgil Tănăsocă was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 87 minutes had been played. A collision led to BULDOZERUL SANTA FE getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Virgil Tănăsocă hit a great ball. BULDOZERUL SANTA FE's Eric Gherghe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Poenaru in the 89th minute of play. -BZF- Chimia Buzau's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sorin Nisipeanu in the 91st minute. Francisc Lopatnicu tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Eric Gherghe. An unnecessary self made goal, 5-0 in the 91st minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the BULDOZERUL SANTA FE players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for -BZF- Chimia Buzau.
