The audience was convinced that Sid Wilson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baltasar Sancho was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Fulgencio Villalcazar made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Miguel Almiron sent off a good shot on target. Cuatrodeocho's Fulgencio Villalcazar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Almiron in the 9th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sacro Balompié's zone, David Batuhin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltasar Sancho came out of the goal and David Batuhin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fulgencio Villalcazar had in the 19thth minute some difficulties stopping Miguel Almiron's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Sid Wilson came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Cuatrodeocho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sid Wilson couldn't finish the play. In the 27th minute of the match, Miguel Almiron tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fulgencio Villalcazar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the last second Fulgencio Villalcazar throw himself and got hold of the ball when Miguel Almiron in the 27thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Sacro Balompié's Baltasar Sancho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Entrena in the 29th minute of play. Fulgencio Villalcazar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquiles Bieito in the 37th minute of play. When Sid Wilson came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Cuatrodeocho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sid Wilson couldn't finish the play. In the 44th minute Sid Wilson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltasar Sancho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miguel Almiron to make the kick off. Javier Maroto hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. A throw-in in the 55th minute of the game was made by Gonzalo Mogel with Matias Maties as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Sacro Balompié's Fausto Uxio was substituted for Gonzalo Mogel. Sacro Balompié made a substitution. Isidoro Izel replaced Americo Florinio. The throw-in from Israel Berenguer in the 79th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Cuatrodeocho's Belarmino Campos. Olaf Sroki held his arms out in dispair when he, after a nice solo performance in the 84th minute, finished the attack by shooting the ball on the wrong side of the right post. After 93 played minutes Cuatrodeocho got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro Oliverio. Sacro Balompié succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Cuatrodeocho had controlled the match.
