After 26 minutes of play, Templars FC's Márk Kovács made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luisito Quinten was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luisito Quinten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Márk Kovács, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 38 minutes Lyons's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adelino Marques who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Staffan Apelqvist got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Luisito Quinten quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Lyons's attentive Severo Basualdo managed to snatch the ball when Evan Vancell made a throw-in in the 46th minute of the game.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Márk Kovács made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Márk Kovács in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisito Quinten saved Lyons from getting behind. In the 54th minute Márk Kovács shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisito Quinten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Templars FC's goalkeeper André Courtois, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. André Courtois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boleslaw Zielinski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Mario Chago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Templars FC's Jonathan Sammut was substituted for Márk Kovács. Lyons's Aurelio Vasco was substituted for Mario Chago. Dariusz Roano took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised André Courtois. André Courtois dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 79th minute Dariusz Roano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Sammut blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luisito Quinten having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Jonathan Sammut kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luisito Quinten. That made the score 1-3 in the 83 minute of play. André Courtois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruperto Salvadore in the 88th minute of the match. Jonathan Sammut in the 92ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luisito Quinten, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. André Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dariusz Roano, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Templars FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
