The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dito Quirino in the 6th minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper David Seaman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maicon Trevisan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardinho Pena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jereba 4EVER's João Pedro Moreno got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aníbal Alagoano in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maicon Trevisan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Jenipapo SC booed when Jereba 4EVER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percy de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jenipapo SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ricardinho Pena in the 22nd minute. After taking down the ball on Jenipapo SC's corner Ricardinho Pena fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Maicon Trevisan quite easily take care of the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when João Pedro Moreno came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maicon Trevisan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aníbal Alagoano in the 28th minute. Dylan Browne kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Gonçalo Sanches recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Ricardinho Pena notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Jereba 4EVER's Maicon Trevisan. Maicon Trevisan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Jereba 4EVER made a substitution. Enio Terra replaced Cláudio Toledo. Jereba 4EVER's Geovani Sanches was substituted for Dito Quirino. The wind increased when Aníbal Alagoano made the kick off in the second half. Jereba 4EVER's Geovani Sanches got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 54 minutes into the game, Vinicio Junior cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Maicon Trevisan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Jereba 4EVER defense, Vinicio Junior kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maicon Trevisan. The Jereba 4EVER fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maicon Trevisan should have stopped the shot. David Seaman made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Geovani Sanches sent off a good shot on target. 68 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper David Seaman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Geovani Sanches. In the 69th minute Aníbal Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maicon Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Kajetan Pilarski fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jenipapo SC's protests and gave Kajetan Pilarski a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Jereba 4EVER booed when Jenipapo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kajetan Pilarski didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Vinicio Junior put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Maicon Trevisan. Jereba 4EVER's Maicon Trevisan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Alagoano in the 77th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Jereba 4EVER's goal looked a bit too open when Vinicio Junior came free, but Maicon Trevisan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ricardinho Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Seaman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Pedro Moreno in the 86th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the game, Benê Sergipano threw the ball into play from the sideline. Jenipapo SC's Pompiliu Poalelungi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Maicon Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Pena in the 89th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Jenipapo SC's Maurício Arósio got a free kick in the 91st minute. Geovani Sanches recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geovani Sanches got free with David Seaman in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
