Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Fernandinho Luz made the kick off which started today's match. After 3 played minutes Carmelopolis got a freekick which was hit by Igor Netto. Francisco Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Maurino, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Israel Enaut in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francisco Godoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernandinho Luz during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Carmelopolis's Fernandinho Luz got a free kick in the 7th minute. Israel Enaut scored 0-1 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisco Godoi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dário Lopes's late challenge caught a Cieneguillas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dário Lopes helped the player get up and apologised. Norberto Maurino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cieneguillas's zone, Naldo Macedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Bertin came out of the goal and Naldo Macedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dário Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Nestor Bertin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 21 played minutes Cieneguillas got a freekick which was hit by Ramon Chaime. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cieneguillas's goalkeeper Nestor Bertin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Maurino in the 25th minute of play forced Carmelopolis's goalkeeper Francisco Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Clodoveo Berbiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clodoveo Berbiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute, Fernandinho Luz made a precise shot to the right of Nestor Bertin. Cieneguillas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 34 minutes into the game, Victor Moraes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Nestor Bertin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jailson Paraense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Nestor Bertin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Naldo Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Clodoveo Berbiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Godoi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Israel Enaut went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Israel Enaut stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Carmelopolis's goalkeeper Francisco Godoi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norberto Maurino. 54 minutes in the game, Clodoveo Berbiz fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Francisco Godoi having to interfere. Francisco Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clodoveo Berbiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Carmelopolis's zone, Norberto Maurino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Godoi came out of the goal and Norberto Maurino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carmelopolis's Francisco Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon Chaime in the 58th minute of play. When Fernandinho Luz came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Carmelopolis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernandinho Luz couldn't finish the play. With his leg Francisco Godoi managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Cieneguillas's Norberto Maurino fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Clodoveo Berbiz hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. A collision led to Carmelopolis getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Dário Lopes hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the game, Prospero Arano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cieneguillas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carmelopolis the free kick. The supporters of Carmelopolis booed when Cieneguillas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prospero Arano didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Victor Moraes came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Carmelopolis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Moraes couldn't finish the play. If Fernandinho Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Dário Lopes came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Carmelopolis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dário Lopes couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Carmelopolis's Victor Moraes got a free kick in the 74th minute. A hard shot 75 in the game by Norberto Maurino from a close distance when the talented Francisco Godoi managed to make a qualified save. Carmelopolis's players were relieved. In the 76th minute of the match, Ramon Chaime tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Francisco Godoi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Francisco Godoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Norberto Maurino in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute, Clodoveo Berbiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wellington França hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Cieneguillas's Dante Leoiar tried to score from far away in the 85th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Cieneguillas getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Dante Leoiar hit a great ball. After 90 played minutes, Carmelopolis's Fernandinho Luz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nestor Bertin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Carmelopolis reached it. If Norberto Maurino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Francisco Godoi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Carmelopolis fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cieneguillas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
