When Marengo FC's Tobias Battle in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carmelopolis's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Marengo FC's Donovan Dillard got control of the ball when Victor Moraes tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Marengo FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Gustavo Murray hit a great ball. After having played for 23 minutes, Fernandinho Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carmelopolis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernandinho Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Carmelopolis's Fernandinho Luz in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Marengo FC's goalie prevented a goal. After 25 played minutes Carmelopolis got a freekick which was hit by Victor Moraes. In the 27th minute Freddie Annan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Battle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Marengo FC's Gustavo Murray got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Fernandinho Luz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jailson Paraense had several of the Marengo FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 35 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Donovan Dillard as he didn't even see the shot coming. 39 minutes into the match, Gustavo Murray had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Francisco Godoi. Carmelopolis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustavo Murray was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Francisco Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddie Annan in the 44th minute of play. Fernandinho Luz's late challenge caught a Marengo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernandinho Luz helped the player get up and apologised. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernandinho Luz to strike the kick off in the second half. Francisco Godoi made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Romeo Boyer sent off a good shot on target. 64 minutes into the match, Tobias Battle notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Carmelopolis's Francisco Godoi. Francisco Godoi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 66th minute, Romeo Boyer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marengo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After a rather tough play, Carmelopolis's Fernandinho Luz got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute, Marengo FC's Tobias Battle ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Francisco Godoi. Francisco Godoi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. Jailson Paraense might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donovan Dillard. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jailson Paraense ran back to his position shaking his head. After 76 played minutes Carmelopolis got a freekick which was hit by Fernandinho Luz. The audience thought a goal was coming when Freddie Annan got free with Francisco Godoi in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jailson Paraense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Donovan Dillard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Godoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Freddie Annan in the 85th minute. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Marengo FC's goalkeeper Donovan Dillard, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Carmelopolis's Francisco Godoi got control of the ball when Freddie Annan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Francisco Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Battle, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Battle in the 92nd minute of play forced Carmelopolis's goalkeeper Francisco Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the match, Carmelopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Tobias Battle came free, but Francisco Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Marengo FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
