The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. MEAN MACHINE's Eriberto Espinar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save MEAN MACHINE from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mecnun Seha got free with Eriberto Espinar in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tayfun Tanfer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Thomas in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Kara Bhattacharya reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eriberto Espinar. The goal made the score 1-0. With a little luck, MEAN MACHINE's Eriberto Espinar got control of the ball when Mecnun Seha tried to sneak it across the goal line. When MarineerS FK's Carl Rundell in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 24th match minute, MarineerS FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tekin Batırhan to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phillip Fitzsymon in the 25th minute of play forced MarineerS FK's goalkeeper Tayfun Tanfer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eriberto Espinar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mecnun Seha in the 31st minute of the match. 32 minutes into the game, Kara Bhattacharya recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eriberto Espinar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.
The wind increased when Žydrūnas Pauža made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, one of MEAN MACHINE:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MEAN MACHINE. Eriberto Espinar had in the 52ndth minute some difficulties stopping Cezmi Gök's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the MEAN MACHINE defense, Cezmi Gök kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eriberto Espinar. The MEAN MACHINE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eriberto Espinar should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tekin Batırhan in the 55th minute of play forced MEAN MACHINE's goalkeeper Eriberto Espinar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
