Colombo A.C.'s Ali Nejat Özertem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benard Ngamta in the 9th minute of play. Ali Nejat Özertem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benard Ngamta in the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th minute of the match Wesselbend got a corner. Colombo A.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jonáš Baroš ran over to the corner to take the kick. Geovanni Mesquita struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Jurgen Goris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombo A.C.. 19 minutes into the game, Colombo A.C.'s Ricardinho Dantas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jurgen Goris made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of Colombo A.C. booed when Wesselbend was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benard Ngamta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 25 minutes into the game, Ricardinho Dantas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Jurgen Goris was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 31st minute, Wesselbend's Benard Ngamta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. After 35 minutes Wesselbend's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lauro Neiva who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Şehzade Faydalı heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Wesselbend's Jurgen Goris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho Dantas in the 37th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ricardinho Dantas in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jurgen Goris prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 43 minutes into the game, Mario Van den Plas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wesselbend's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colombo A.C. the free kick. The supporters of Colombo A.C. booed when Wesselbend was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Van den Plas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jurgen Goris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Dantas in the 44th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Geovanni Mesquita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Wesselbend players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Colombo A.C. were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ricardinho Dantas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Benard Ngamta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Nejat Özertem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jurgen Goris didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricardinho Dantas went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 57th minute, Wesselbend's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Geovanni Mesquita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Colombo A.C. getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Şehzade Faydalı hit a great ball. Ali Nejat Özertem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benard Ngamta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Wesselbend's Benard Ngamta got a free kick in the 70th minute. Colombo A.C. made a substitution. Michal Burufski replaced Ricardinho Dantas. The supporters of Colombo A.C. booed when Wesselbend was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benard Ngamta didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Wesselbend's Jurgen Goris got control of the ball when Michal Burufski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jurgen Goris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauro Neiva in the 75th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geovanni Mesquita got free with Jurgen Goris in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombo A.C.'s goalkeeper Ali Nejat Özertem, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Michal Burufski made a precise shot to the right of Jurgen Goris. Wesselbend's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Colombo A.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
