Renato Augusto started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute Renato Augusto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Eztebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roberto Eztebe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Augusto, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Aureliano Karlo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Esen Sanal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Aureliano Karlo put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Esen Sanal. In the 31st minute Aureliano Karlo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esen Sanal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lei Feng Yan in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roberto Eztebe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th minute, Lei Feng Yan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roberto Eztebe was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a rather tough play, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Tarcisio Mangueira got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute Lucio Siekkötter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Eztebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute S.E.R. Caxias do Sul were awarded a corner. Lei Feng Yan went to the cornerflag to take it. Esen Sanal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aureliano Karlo in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aureliano Karlo made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, AFC FUSION's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Siekkötter came free, but Roberto Eztebe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliano Karlo in the 54th minute of play forced S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Esen Sanal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Aureliano Karlo made a precise shot to the right of Esen Sanal. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Roberto Eztebe made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Faustão Châton sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Aureliano Karlo managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC FUSION's supporters rose to their feet, but Aureliano Karlo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esen Sanal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 73 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Aureliano Karlo came free, but Esen Sanal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Renato Augusto in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Roberto Eztebe, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Esen Sanal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Txindoki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the game, Jonatan Maidana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFC FUSION's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.E.R. Caxias do Sul the free kick. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul made a substitution. Mihnea Gorgan replaced Krisztián Véber. Thiago Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. AFC FUSION's Roberto Eztebe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save AFC FUSION from getting a goal against them. The S.E.R. Caxias do Sul players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
