After 23 played minutes Cosmos Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Russ Thorne. Cosmos Soccer Club's Bruce Nesbitt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Hamdi Tecen in the 26th minute of play. After 27 played minutes Cosmos Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Franklin Willingham. Cosmos Soccer Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cyrus Crouch in the 31st minute. After taking down the ball on Cosmos Soccer Club's corner Cyrus Crouch fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Osman Ali Temircan quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Kᴀᴅᴀɢᴀɴ1903 booed when Cosmos Soccer Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonah Dobbs didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gencalp Bozoğluer came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Kᴀᴅᴀɢᴀɴ1903 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gencalp Bozoğluer couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute Mehmet Hamdi Tecen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruce Nesbitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Cosmos Soccer Club booed when Kᴀᴅᴀɢᴀɴ1903 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. İsmail Hakkı Sina didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Russ Thorne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Russ Thorne to make the kick off. Suat Akbora hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Osman Ali Temircan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Russ Thorne, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Bruce Nesbitt made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Ediz Satvet sent off a good shot on target. Bruce Nesbitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehmet Hamdi Tecen in the 68th minute of play. Kᴀᴅᴀɢᴀɴ1903's Osman Ali Temircan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Russ Thorne in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Hamdi Tecen in the 71st minute of play forced Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper Bruce Nesbitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute, Güngör Vahapoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franklin Willingham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cosmos Soccer Club's Bruce Nesbitt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Cosmos Soccer Club from getting a goal against them. 88 minutes into the game, Russ Thorne was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cosmos Soccer Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kᴀᴅᴀɢᴀɴ1903 the free kick. In the 88th match minute, Cosmos Soccer Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Russ Thorne to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Ediz Satvet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruce Nesbitt was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. In the 93rd minute, Franklin Willingham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the game, Ediz Satvet recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bruce Nesbitt. Ediz Satvet showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2.
